In 1991, at the age of 17, pianist Myron Silberstein won the gold medal at the 26th annual International Piano
Competition sponsored by the Giornati Musicali Festival, at which he made
his European debut the following year. In October 1993 he made his New York debut at Weill Hall of Carnegie Hall.
In October 1994 he was selected to appear on WQXR's McGraw-Hill
Young Artists Showcase. He has recorded compact discs for Connoisseur Society Records and Iktius Records. He was on
the faculty of Montclair State University.

Mr. Silberstein is working on his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago's School of Social Thought. While at the University of Chicago he will be composing and pursuing his interests outside the field of music. He has no recitals scheduled.
