Please Note!

Due to Dr. Warren's work schedule Dr. Warren can only answer your questions 1 day a week.
Dr. Warren will only be accepting questions from Tuesday night to Thursday morning until further notice.

Due to the large volume of e-mail Dr. Warren receives, he can no longer provide responses to all questions. Students who have been assigned to interview a pediatrician should not send their entire assignment, but only questions that are unique and different from questions previously answered. See below for instructions to students.

Please read Getting Your Questions Answered below, before sending any questions. The less time Dr. Warren has to spend with questions he has previously answered, the more people can get help from Dr. Warren. Dr. Warren will continue to entertain all kinds of questions, but will have to select questions to answer based on uniqueness, urgency, educational value to his readers, and his ability to provide helpful advice regarding a particular question.

Getting Your Questions Answered
After more than a year on the Web the volume of e-mail to Dr. Warren is increasing. I am committed to answering as many of your questions as I can, but I need your help. In order to cut down on the amount of e-mail I have to answer, I'm asking you to first check and see if I've answered your question before. There is a complete list of all the letters answered by Dr. Warren. Please check here first before sending me e-mail.

I've also written complete articles on the subjects about which I get the most questions. These include articles about fever, colds, asthma, nutrition, sleep problems, toilet training, behavior, and more. Please look at these articles for complete information on these and other subjects before sending me e-mail.

If you didn't find the information you're looking for before you send your question you can Search Ask Dr. Warren using the new search engine powered by Atomz.com.

To those students who wish to interview a pediatrician

There are several letters in different "Ask Dr. Warren" columns which may give you the additional information and insights you seek about pediatrics. They are

Sending Your Questions
If you've searched the archives of Ask Dr. Warren and read the pertinent articles I've written and you still couldn't find an answer appropriate to your unique circumstances or you feel that you need a more personal response, then it's time to e-mail your questions to me. For your own well being please keep in mind that advice you receive by e-mail may not apply exactly to your own situation since I must formulate a response without complete information and without doing an examination. If you are sick, no information on the Web can take the place of a hands on examination by your physician who knows you and cares about you. If you have a potential emergency, seek immediate medical attention rather than waiting for a response, since I cannot guarantee a rapid reply. Please include your valid e-mail address in your query to be sure that you receive a response. PLEASE DO NOT TYPE YOUR QUESTION IN ALL UPPERCASE LETTERS. Thank you.
